ITD Finance Internship - Information Technology Division

Position Information We are looking for an intern to perform finance, accounting, and business process automation activities within the ITD Finance Team. Responsibilities include assigning budget codes, monitoring budget estimates and actual spend, analyzing trends, creating reports, and reconciling data from multiple sources. This position requires working in a team environment (hybrid) to manage the day‑to‑day ticket queue of purchase requests and renewals. The intern will receive hands‑on experience gaining knowledge of complex processes, financial systems, finance and accounting methods, and budgeting. The intern will also assist in the development and maintenance of the ITD Finance Team's process automation using AI and other available tools. Training will be provided. Essential Duties Serve as an initial contact to provide budget codes, updating purchase requests and correctly forwarding requests. Update financial models with estimated and actual spend. Assist the team in process automation through the use of AI and other available tools. Analyze complex data sets. Participate in team work sessions and meetings with managers and leaders within ITD. Establish and maintain good collaborative relationships. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution. Other Conditions Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school. Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools. Preferred Qualifications None provided.
