Project Manager (HVAC)

Berg Enterprises, Inc., seeks a Project Manager to take charge of regional commercial mechanical and plumbing projects throughout the company's three regions.


This role will be based in Houston, TX. Occasional to frequent travel to the various regions is expected, but it will generally be at the Project Manager's discretion. This position reports to the Director of Projects .

• Understand commercial mechanical/HVAC systems
• Manage the following with accuracy and timeliness:
  
  • Submittals
  • Requests For Information (RFI)
  • Contracts and subcontracts
  • Project schedules
  • Material & equipment procurement
  • Project budgets
  • Change requests and change orders
  • Customer billing and subcontractor billing review
• Lead meetings among BEI employees, subcontractors, and clients
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other industry professionals
• Understand contract drawings and specifications, especially mechanical
• Lead project safety culture

• Direct mechanical project management experience
• Additional knowledge and experience in plumbing, building automation, and other MEP-related trades
• Proven negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Oracle NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and other business or construction management software
