Senior Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join the Finance team eager to make a quick impact on the team. The successful candidate will take part in our day-to-day operations and will work directly with business partners across the organization for month end close and corporate reporting. What You'll Be Doing: Leverage technology, including AI, to enhance and automate processes to support company growth. Review and enhance existing systems and tech stack to meet company goals. Participate in technology and tech stack transformation to support company growth. Perform critical accounting functions such as recording, reconciling and analyzing G/L account transactions. Assist the Accounting team in the preparation of month end close journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis (for example: accrued expenses, fixed assets, prepaids, deferred revenues, payroll, intercompany, etc.). Review customer contracts to ensure accurate billing, revenue, etc. Assist with Accounts Payable to review, code, and process vendor invoices. Review compensation and commissions to ensure accuracy. Cross train with other accountants to serve as backup. Assist with tax filings and audits including addressing PBCs requests. Assist with and/or complete ad hoc projects as requested (e.g. documentation, development projects, system implementations, etc.). Build and leverage cross-functional relationships within the company to more effectively bring value to Accounting and achieve company goals. Learn how to operate all types of accounting operations of a medium sized startup. What You'll Bring: Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of accounting experience in a similar position. Experience in GL, account receivables, accounts payable, tax, and payroll. Quickbooks, Maxio or other large ERP experience is a plus. Meaningfully participation in systems implementation and transformation. Process improvement and automation experience is a plus. Experience using AI tools to automate manual processes is a plus. Previous work experience in the SaaS industry. Understanding and experience working with financial statements audits. Strong written, oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work products. Open minded, looking to create efficiencies and eager to learn.
