Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Mid 3x12-Hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with the potential for 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM as needed. Requires availability for every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The candidate will be expected to provide high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and necessitates a floating requirement to sister facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and perform phlebotomy and IV starts.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, monitor patients for CVA, and provide care for patients with traumatic injuries.
• Administer medications and continuous IV sedation as required.
• Provide procedural sedation administration and ongoing monitoring.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting.
• Active RN license with current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience in interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias is required.
• Experience with Epic documentation system is required; Cerner preferred.
