This position is located in Highland Park, NJ US 08904
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and cooking food according to recipes and established standards
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, and portioning food
- Assist with meal preparation and plating as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist with receiving and properly storing food and kitchen supplies
- Monitor food supplies and notify the kitchen manager of items that need to be replenished
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff with daily tasks as needed
- Deliver food to second location and serve meal
- Assist cleaning of lunchroom and general building
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Valid drivers license
