Job Summary
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Must be knowledgeable of, and experienced in, the operation, upkeep, and maintenance of machine shop equipment, including (but not limited to) lathe, mill, shear, brake, band saw, grinder, and drill.
- Working knowledge of forming, bending, and machining both metal and plastic materials.
- Practical skills in the use of tools, processes, and mechanical fixtures.
- Ability to fabricate and assemble production tooling, fixtures, and prototype parts.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and Solidworks drawings
- Performs preventative maintenance to machine shop tooling and equipment in the model shop according to the preventative maintenance plan.
- Maintain shop to assure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required. Associate's degree preferred or equivalent technical training.
- Knowledge of a 3D modeling package and CNC machining practices and set-up are a plus
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- U.S Citizenship is required.
- No required travel.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, and communicate, use hands/finger, feel, and reach with arms. This position requires the ability to lift, bend or stoop as necessary up to 50lbs.
