CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Forklift Operator candidates in the Lyndhurst, VA area. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Powered Industrial Equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and store products and materials.
• Stack and transport materials and products to designated areas.
• Manually locate and retrieve inventory using pen and paper methods.
• Complete paperwork and operate inventory management systems as required.
• Ensure proper product rotation procedures are followed.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Conduct daily safety inspections using forklift safety checklists.
• Ensure the facility remains inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements.
• Communicate and report any incidents to the supervisor.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Minimum of one year of prior forklift operating experience; must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up electric or propane forklifts, with the ability to identify equipment used and most recent operation.
• Ability to describe responsibilities associated with sit-down forklift operation, including pre-shift inspections, charging or propane tank changes, loading and unloading trailers, staging, put-away, picking, and supporting production or shipping functions.
• Demonstrated hands-on forklift experience in a workplace environment, with clear understanding of equipment proficiency.
• Ability to describe completion of formal forklift training, including classroom instruction, mentorship, supervised hands-on training, and/or successful completion of knowledge and practical evaluations.
• Experience operating sit-down electric forklifts, with the ability to identify key controls such as brake, accelerator, and clutch.
