Job Description

Join a dynamic medium-sized company that specializes in producing overhead cranes and job shop work. This role involves working with systems up to 100ft and requires the ability to handle forklifts, cranes, slings, and hooks. Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and perform tasks involving crouching, standing, and twisting is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing general shop operations across the Rail, Fabrication, Electrification, and Maintenance Departments as required by shop workload demands.
• Follow instructions and directions provided by supervisors and experienced employees.
• Handle materials in all areas of the shop using equipment such as cranes and slings.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate machines and utilize hand tools effectively.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in using power tools, forklifts, and grinders.
• Experience with sandblasting, spray guns, sanding, drywall, concrete, and sheet metal.
• Mechanical skills, including grinding and deburring.

Work Environment

Work in a spacious facility with very large ceilings and venting systems. Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals requires the use of provided PPE, including hearing protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glenwood, MN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Glenwood,MN.
