Title: SOX Testing Consultant
Location: The Woodlands
Duration: 10 - 12 months
Compensation: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.


Skillset / Experience:
INSPYR Solutions is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Consultant with 4-10 years of strong SOX compliance and testing experience. This consultant will support the SOX testing team in evaluating and testing internal controls for a publicly traded company to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control standards.

• Perform SOX testing for key financial and operational controls.
• Conduct walkthroughs with process owners to document and assess control activities
• Prepare detailed audit workpapers, testing documentation, and control matrices
• Identify control deficiencies and assist management with remediation plans
• Assist with annual SOX risk assessments and scoping activities
• Coordinate with accounting, finance, and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and audit standards
• Support special projects and internal audits as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5 years of experience in:
  • Internal audit
  • External audit
  • SOX compliance
  • Public accounting
• Strong understanding of:
  • SOX 404 requirements
  • Internal controls over financial reporting
  • GAAP and financial reporting processes
• Experience testing accounting and business process controls
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit documentation tools
