These values guide us in providing quality patient care and transforming the lives of our patients.Job Summary: Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.Qualifications: Current CT LPN License required. Patient care/healthcare experience preferred but not required. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required.Work Schedule: 24 Hours/Week-Night Shift (11:15pm-7:15am), every other weekend, holiday rotation. Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: Continuous telemetry monitoring. Ventilator support and weaning. LVAD patient population. Heart transplant population.Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical units offer skills such as: Stroke. Complex wounds. Telemetry. Pulmonary care.Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty units are CARF accredited with a focused patient population: Traumatic brain injury. Stroke.
