Employees can also take advantage of generous benefits and wellness programs that add distinct advantage in its employee compensation.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical CarePerform comprehensive evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation for endocrine conditionsDiagnose and manage acute and chronic endocrine disorders, including:Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and complex insulin management)Thyroid disordersAdrenal and pituitary disordersOsteoporosis and metabolic bone diseaseDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacologic and lifestyle interventionsProvide patient education on disease management, medications, and self-care strategiesMonitor and adjust therapies based on clinical response and evidence-based guidelinesSpecialty Focus (Preferred)Experience or interest in managing gestational diabetes, including:Glucose monitoring and insulin titration during pregnancyCollaboration with OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine teamsPostpartum follow-up and long-term risk reduction counselingCare Coordination & CollaborationCollaborate closely with physicians, certified diabetes educators, dietitians, and care managersCoordinate care transitions, including hospital follow-ups and referralsParticipate in multidisciplinary case reviews and quality initiativesOperational & Quality ContributionsSupport departmental goals related to access, throughput, and patient satisfactionParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, including diabetes management metrics (e.g., A1c control, diabetic retinal eye,Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EHRContribute to protocol development and standardization of care pathwayQualificationsRequiredGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) programMinimum 3 years of experience in endocrinology or related specialtyCurrent licensure in the state of practiceDEA registration (or eligibility)Strong clinical acumen in managing chronic diseasePreferredBoard certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA)Experience managing gestational diabetes or women's metabolic health during pregnancyCertification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or willingness to obtainFamiliarity with insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and remote patient monitoringSkills & CompetenciesStrong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skillsAbility to manage complex, high-risk patient populationsEffective communication and patient education capabilitiesCollaborative, team-oriented approachComfort with technology, including EHRs and remote monitoring platformsWork EnvironmentPrimarily outpatient endocrinology practice, with potential involvement in inpatient consults depending on organizational structureParticipation in call coverage as applicableOpportunity to support program development in diabetes and metabolic carePosition ImpactThis role is integral to expanding access to endocrine services, improving chronic disease outcomes, and supporting specialized programs such as diabetes in pregnancy.
