Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Acute Neurology/Medical-Surgical unit
• Support staffing of overflow beds within the Neuro unit
• Monitor and assess neurological and medical-surgical patients throughout the shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit protocols and facility holiday scheduling expectations, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience in an acute neurology or neuro step-down setting
• Familiarity with overflow and high-census staffing environments
