Radiation Oncology Technologist

Day shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

Job Description

The Radiation Oncology Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality radiotherapy services utilizing Truebeam and Aria systems. This role includes working closely with healthcare professionals to deliver effective patient care in a radiation oncology setting. The technologist will also ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards while providing compassionate care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate Truebeam and Aria systems for patient treatment.
• Prepare and position patients for treatments, ensuring accuracy in alignment and equipment setup.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment to ensure safety and comfort.
• Document treatment sessions in the appropriate charting system.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine checks to ensure operational safety.
• Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to optimize treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY State License as a Radiation Technologist in the Practice of Radiotherapy.
• ARRT Certification required.
• Experience with Truebeam, Aria, and Identify systems required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in radiation oncology preferred.
• Medical or religious exemption for the flu vaccine must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
