Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Montrose Regional Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Montrose Regional Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Current, competent knowledge of intensive care and neonatal intensive care, including EKG, ABG, spirometry, and oximetry.

Special Requests: - 3 separate interview times must be provided with each submission.

Unit Details: - Performs respiratory care consults, RT procedures, ventilator management, and bedside diagnostics; assists with outpatient diagnostics as needed. - Treats patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders using oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy. - Draws ABG samples and manages medical gases, humidification systems, ventilator support, CPAP, and BiPAP. - Assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway management, and intubation/tracheotomy assistance. - Performs pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms, and home sleep testing. - Uses RT protocols and physician orders for therapy procedures and ventilator management. - Eighty percent of patient care is provided per protocols. - Includes inpatient hospital floor care and outpatient diagnostics. - Provides care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

Shift & Scheduling: - Call as needed. - Weekend coverage required. - Holiday coverage as needed.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
