Job Description Job Description Maintenance Supervisor - Long Beach, California Multiple positions available across the region Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00 Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a residential community in the Long Beach area. This role blends hands on technical work with team leadership. You will guide the maintenance team, oversee property upkeep, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, well maintained, and high quality living environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and mentor the onsite maintenance team Assign work orders, manage schedules, and support a high performance culture Perform advanced hands on maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards Manage the work order system from start to finish Coordinate and inspect the work of outside vendors Oversee the make ready process to ensure timely unit turnovers Partner with the Community Manager on maintenance budgeting and expense control Maintain inventory and order supplies and parts as needed Conduct routine property inspections and address issues proactively Support resident satisfaction by responding to maintenance needs promptly Participate in a rotating on call schedule for after hours emergencies Qualifications Two to three years of maintenance supervisory experience in a residential setting Proven ability to supervise and develop at least one or more direct reports EPA Universal Certification required HVAC Certification is a plus Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation General computer literacy for managing work orders and reporting Who Thrives in This Role Someone who enjoys leading people and setting high standards Someone who communicates clearly with residents, staff, and vendors Someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and problem solving Someone who is organized, proactive, and dependable Someone who values teamwork, accountability, and long term growth Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance with dependent coverage options Life insurance and disability insurance 401K with employer matching Paid holidays Rent discounts for eligible employees Monthly performance bonuses may be available depending on property structure
