Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Location: Vernon, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a fast-paced food manufacturing operation in Vernon, CA. This position will work closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams, including Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Sanitation, to solve problems, improve efficiency, and maintain a safe, productive, and high-performing production environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and has a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop production teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant workplace and promote a safety-first culture
• Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, and other applicable food safety requirements
• Lead, coach, and develop Line Leads and production employees
• Optimize staffing levels, manage labor efficiency, and minimize overtime
• Partner with Maintenance to minimize downtime and address equipment issues
• Drive daily production output while maintaining product quality standards
• Oversee documentation related to safety, quality, traceability, throughput, and yield
• Participate in and lead employee training initiatives, including development of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)
• Participate in plant leadership meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide hands-on support to Line Leads and Production Team Members as needed
• Partner with HR and the Production Manager regarding hiring, coaching, employee performance, and disciplinary matters
• Help identify opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and overall team performance

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in food production or food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety, and regulatory compliance
• Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Experience with labor planning, staffing, and productivity optimization
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Results-oriented with a team-first mentality
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively on the production floor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production needs
