About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization through a period of modernization and strategic evolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing a clear direction and strategy, particularly for the organization's training and certification portfolio, which is central to its mission and revenue generation. This hands-on leadership role requires a focus on financial management, revenue diversification, and strengthening the organization's external presence. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to build a strong partnership, improve governance, and engage in fundraising and strategic stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior leadership within a nonprofit or association, with a proven track record in financial and operational management, program development, and a commitment to fostering inclusive and diverse professional communities. Key responsibilities for the CEO include stabilizing and focusing the organization, rebuilding and strengthening the business model, and repositioning the company for long-term relevance and resilience. The role demands a leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills, who can represent the organization with credibility and clarity. Experience in membership-based organizations and a familiarity with sectors such as museums, parks, education, or cultural institutions is preferred. The CEO will be expected to lead a geographically distributed team, engage in national travel, and work in a fully remote environment. The position is not just about managing the present but also about shaping the future, making intentional decisions, and creating the conditions for sustainable growth.
