Controls & Automation Engineer

Company Overview

We are a boutique engineering and technical services firm specializing in industrial automation, controls, and SCADA systems across a diverse range of industries. Our expertise spans the full systems integration lifecycle, including electrical design, instrumentation, control panel design and fabrication, programming, startup, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC and DCS programming, including projects built from the ground up
• Design and implement HMI and SCADA applications ranging from standalone systems to fully redundant distributed architectures
• Configure historians, reporting solutions, and data collection systems
• Set up, configure, and maintain servers and computer systems
• Develop control narratives, functional specifications, and system test plans
• Specify, configure, and integrate field instrumentation
• Commission automation and control systems at customer sites; occasional travel is required
• Prepare technical specifications for software, servers, and related system components
• Develop cost estimates for software, labor, engineering, and implementation activities to support project budgeting

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Automation and Controls Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
