TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in O Fallon, Illinois, 62269!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of medical-surgical and cardiac/telemetry experience required. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, and BCLS required. Must-Have: - Experience with cardiac telemetry and administration of IV medications. - Proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips. - Capable of performing phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs. Description: This position involves providing direct patient care on a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The nurse will work a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Every other weekend is required. Patient-to-nurse ratios will be 1:4 to 1:5. First-time travelers are accepted. Nurses may be required to float between different facilities as needed. There are no on-call requirements for this role. The patient population includes acutely ill medical-surgical patients transitioning from ICU. Telemetry monitoring and IV medication management, including antiarrhythmic medications, heparin, and bi-PAP, are part of the duties. There are no additional special requirements for this role. The facility is a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with a total of 97 staffed beds. The hospital uses EPIC for charting.
