Security Analyst

Role: Information Security Analyst Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Overview: The Information Security Analyst will audit and monitor systems containing confidential data, support compliance with state/federal regulations, and assist with system security, logging, auditing, and vulnerability management. They will also participate in federal/state audits and help maintain security standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Monitor security conditions and report findings to leadership Assist with log configuration, analysis, and reporting Participate in audits (IRS, SSA, OCSE, FBI, SBOA) and help remediate findings Develop information security policies, standards, and SOPs Recommend security safeguards for new and existing systems Perform periodic security audits and generate reports Stay updated on laws affecting privacy, network, cloud, and data security Collaborate with IT teams across systems, development, and operations Mentor junior staff and support additional tasks as assigned Required Skills: Strong knowledge of security tools, policies, and NIST guidelines Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation Familiarity with domain structures, authentication, certificates Ability to work with diverse technical teams Security degree or certifications (CISSP) preferred Network admin experience preferred If you're interested, please reply with your updated resume , availability, and best time to talk.
