The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within a specific unit and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/her directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by ancillary staff and assumes house supervision duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Associate Degree required, preferred. BSN preferred. Experience 3 years hospital nursing experience. Licensure Registered Nurse. Certifications BLS (American Heart Assn.) PALS ACLS (American Heart Assn.) NIH Stroke (within 60 days of hire/transfer effective date) EKG Testing TNCC Organization Description St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420‑bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state‑designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and has a level III NICU. Pediatric services are provided at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary's Medical Center, the only dedicated children’s hospital between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.
