REGISTERED NURSE PRN

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an RN-PRN at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, FL. Walton Academy is a 42-bed residential treatment facility focusing on mental health and substance abuse. What you will do Order and administer medications per provider’s orders. Transcribe provider’s orders into the medical record and the medication administration records. Document accurately and promptly in the health record. Obtain vital signs and BMI, perform basic vision exams, and administer intramuscular injections. Collect specimens and prepare them for lab courier. Assist in the chronic care clinic (e.g., diabetes, asthma, obesity), manage daily sick-calls, and adhere to nursing protocols. Educate students about their health. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace. Collaborate with peers to meet the needs of the department and campus. Monitor medical supply inventory and report when ordering is needed. Assist with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts. Requirements Possess a degree and a current Registered Nursing Credential from the state of Florida. Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration experience, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs. Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam, and TB test. Must be able to pass DJJ and DCF background checks.
