Summer Health Care Manager (RN) - $800/week Job Category: Overnight & Summer Camp Requisition Number: SUMME022450 Pay: $800/week - Room and Board (lodging and food) included Schedule: Full‑time, temporary/seasonal (June to August) Location: Camp Arnold, Salvation Army Webster Road E, 33412, Eatonville, WA 98329, USA Responsibilities Attend and manage the nurse’s station before and after meals, during campfire, and return after campfire. Be available at the nurse’s station for open clinic hours determined by the camp schedule. Assist with evening programs and spiritual activities. Participate in “break day” duties as scheduled. Maintain personal grooming and cleanliness of living quarters. Assist in the clean‑up of the entire camp at the end of each session and at the end of summer. Complete mid‑summer and end‑of‑summer briefs. Report all admissions to the Health Center to the Program Director. Discuss health and safety procedures, precautions, and routines with staff during pre‑camp training. Establish a special time for “sick‑call” and guide counselors in reporting illness, injury, or unsafe practices. Check living quarters and camp for health and safety conditions daily. Administer medications and treatments per physicians’ orders, keeping all records. Prepare first‑aid kits for emergency use for counselors during hikes and trips, instructing them in current first‑aid methods. Make a physical check of campers upon arrival and review all health records with concerned counselors. Manage and record all drug, medication, and first‑aid kit usage as directed by the physician. Maintain daily treatment logs and insurance forms as required. Produce written reports for close‑of‑camp evaluations, including equipment inventory, requisitions, treatment records, infirmary admissions, doctor visits, and medical recommendations. Qualifications Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the state of Washington. Current certification in First‑Aid and CPR. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects, and reach overhead. Ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to access and produce information from a computer, and understand written information.
