Key Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of individuals and groups, establish nursing diagnoses, and identify goals to meet patient care needs
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and document patient responses to care
• Provide care to obstetrical patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases within a level one low-risk birth unit utilizing single-room maternity care
• Support cesarean births performed and recovered within the birthing center setting
• Deliver care to normal newborns, pediatric patients during the perinatal period, and clean female surgical cases
• Apply family-centered care philosophy and Orem's theory of self-care across inpatient and outpatient settings

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Vermont
• Minimum of 1 year of current LDRP experience
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Resume with any employment gaps over 30 days explained
• Discipline-specific skills checklist completed within the last year
• Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume delivery setting (400+ deliveries per year preferred)
• Proficiency with C-sections, epidurals, electronic charting, and venipuncture
• Active Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications; travel nursing experience highly preferred
