Dispatcher

Dispatcher Dispatchers are responsible for coordinating and scheduling the delivery of freight. They must ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and in accordance with customer requirements. Dispatchers communicate with truck drivers and customers to ensure that shipments are picked up and delivered on schedule. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage truck drivers' schedules and routes Schedule freight to be picked up and delivered Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times. Keep track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply. Complete paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices Communicate with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests. Plan pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed. Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes Hours: 11pm to 7:30am Position Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systems Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions Knowledge of geography and routes Position - Dispatcher Division - East Coast CES of Texas Req Number - TRA-26-00012 Location - Houston
