MechanicTransportation DepartmentQualificationsTwo years prior experience vehicle repair and maintenanceCDL with endorsements to operate wrecker and fuel truck Passenger and School Bus endorsementKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the following:Scan toolsAir conditioningPaint and bodyworkABS brakesAutomatic transmissionsMedium Duty Buses/TrucksMust not have limitations in regards to lifting, pulling, climbing or any additional physical limitations that would prevent employee from performing their duties.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSchool bus maintenanceService truck maintenancePerform warranty workPerform repair on transmissionsMount and balance tiresRepair air conditioning unitsPaint and/or bodyworkInclement weather (early crew)Any other maintenance to be performed Required 30 day school bus inspections Scheduled PMs (Preventive Maintenance) All other duties as assigned by supervisorTerm of EmploymentFull time12 month employmentHours:Alternating: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (one week)6:00 am to 3:00 pm (one week)7:00am to 4:00pm (on Non School Days)
