Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and keeping complex systems running safely and efficiently? UAF is looking for a dependable Pool Technician to help keep our aquatic facilities safe, clean, and operating at their best.
In this role, you’ll maintain and troubleshoot the systems behind our pools, including pumps, filtration systems, plumbing, heat exchangers, chemical generators, and automated controls. You’ll perform daily pool checks, monitor and balance water chemistry, complete preventative maintenance and repairs, and quickly address issues such as leaks, equipment malfunctions, and water-quality concerns. You’ll also assist with equipment installation, seasonal and annual pool maintenance, safety compliance, and maintaining accurate inspection and maintenance records. Working closely with facility and program managers, you’ll help ensure our aquatic facilities are safe, reliable, and ready for our campus community. If you’re a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and enjoys learning new systems and technologies, we’d love to have you join our team! To thrive as a pool technician, individuals should possess a combination of technical skills, knowledge, and personal qualities.
