Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Kentucky license or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience: 7:1 for Med/Surg; 5:1 for Telemetry - Experience with charting system preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. A blocked schedule can be accommodated. The expected patient ratio is 7 patients per nurse for Med/Surg and 5 patients per nurse for Telemetry. Every other weekend coverage is required. The position does not require being on-call. First-time travelers are accepted. Preference will be given to those with experience in a community hospital. Candidates must possess skills in various nursing procedures, including managing respiratory equipment and conducting blood draws. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in telemetry and wound care. Special equipment and interdisciplinary support are available within the unit. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Applicants must provide two supervisory references upon request.
