About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in outpatient/ambulatory clinic or oncology (inpatient or outpatient) License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS, OCN preferred Must-Have: Epic charting system experience Description: This position will primarily work in an outpatient breast surgery and oncology clinic. The role involves supporting one surgeon and working independently alongside the clinic team. The clinic has three locations, and the nurse will receive support from other nurses across the clinics. Initial training will occur at a specified clinic location. Key responsibilities include telephone triage, new patient calls related to breast cancer, surgical teaching, drain care, and coordination of patient care. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend and holiday shifts are not required, and there are no on-call duties. Candidates with outpatient experience and oncology background are preferred for this role. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with high-risk cancer patients or those predisposed to breast cancer. The nurse will primarily be based at one clinic location, with rare floating to another location as needed. Support will be available from experienced nursing staff in other clinics during training and beyond.
