Key Responsibilities\n \n * Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document findings to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. \n * Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster client engagement and healing. \n * Establish and monitor clear metrics for progress throughout the duration of each treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary based on client feedback and clinical observations. \n * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to develop cohesive intervention strategies that holistically address client needs. \n * Keep abreast of advancements in psychotherapy practices and apply them within clinical settings to ensure best outcomes for clients. \n * Provide support and resources to families and caregivers to help them effectively manage the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones. \n * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. \n * Identify and strategize to mitigate potential barriers to recovery, enhancing clients' pathways to better mental health. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n This role primarily serves adults facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and addiction issues. Ridgeview's approach focuses on tailoring interventions to each client's unique circumstances and recovery goals, promoting effective treatment outcomes and empowering individuals through the healing process. Qualifications\n \n * A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n * A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. \n * Successful completion and passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n * Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, showcasing the ability to build therapeutic rapport with clients. \n * Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information and treatment documentation. \n * A solid understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, alongside addiction therapies. \n * A thorough knowledge of best practices as per the guidelines of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity and compassion. \n * Empathetic interpersonal skills and a heartfelt commitment to improving clients' mental well-being. \n Preferred Experience\n \n * Hands-on experience in outpatient counseling, specifically within a remote or telehealth context. \n * Familiarity with treating diverse populations, including those with complex trauma histories, substance use disorders, and severe mental illness. \n * A proactive approach to continuous learning, reflecting an eagerness to stay informed about evolving mental health care practices. \n Compensation and Benefits\n The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
