High School Social Worker – 2026-2027 School Year Location: Mount View High School, Thorndike, ME Position Summary Mount View High School in Thorndike, Maine, is seeking a compassionate, student-centered School Social Worker to join our innovative and collaborative team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, certified position focused on supporting students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, staff, and community partners to remove barriers to learning and promote student well-being. Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group therapy to support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students requiring additional support Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and special education staff to create effective student support systems Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies/resources Support attendance improvement efforts and family engagement initiatives Assist in crisis prevention, intervention, and response planning Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS/RTI, and student support team meetings as appropriate Promote a positive school climate through restorative, trauma-informed, and equity-centered practices Maintain confidential student records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines Qualifications Valid Maine Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred Master's degree in Social Work or related field required Experience working with adolescents in a school or clinical setting is preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, mental health supports, and student intervention systems Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting the success of all learners #J-18808-Ljbffr
