Truck Driver/Mover

Enter "Driver" in the subject line of the e‑mail. Essential Functions Drive a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo, materials, furniture or artwork. Maintain radio or telephone contact with a base supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to a new location. Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations. Obey all traffic regulations from city, state, and federal laws. Keep records of materials and products transported. Position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo for transport. Clean, inspect, and service the vehicle. Operate equipment on the vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials. Obtain customer signatures or collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges if needed. Assist in loading and unloading the truck manually. Perform other duties assigned by management. Qualifications Experience moving furniture, fine art, and antique products is preferred. Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Must have a clean and valid driver’s license. Experience working in a similar industry is a plus. Understand how to properly load and unload merchandise from trucks. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Extreme attention to detail. Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to bend, stoop, climb, and pull. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis.
