Position: Substitute Bus/Activity Driver (At-Will)

Location: Central Services

Salary: Substitute driver: $25.08/hr minimum, no benefits Activity driver: $25.00/hr, no benefits

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A current CDL with school bus/passenger endorsement is required but we are willing to provide training for the right applicant.

Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking; and 10% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and some hazardous conditions. The ability to help remove students from the bus in an emergency is required.

Description: The job of the substitute/activity bus driver is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or from special excursions; ensuring vehicle operation is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.
