LPN Night Shift Position

Turning Point Care Center is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work the night shift in our men's programs. The LPN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborate with clinical services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. In addition, duties may include:

• Patient assessments
• Medication administration
• Medication education
• Provide direct patient care
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
• Maintain accurate and complete data and records
• Perform observation rounds
• Communicate therapeutically and age appropriately
• Intervene with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique
• Therapeutically communicate with patients
• Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills
• Direct/redirect behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences
• Respond appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria
• Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care

This position's days and hours will vary based on a rotational schedule. This position qualifies for shift differential pay. Night shifts are from 5:30pm - 6:00am. Join our team and discover a rewarding, fulfilling career.

Qualifications:

• One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred
• Licensed in good standing by the State of Georgia LPN required
• CPR certification required (training provided)
• Crisis Prevention (CPI) required (training provided)
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
