Associate Counsel - Dallas, TX (HYBRID)

Associate Counsel Defend lawsuits filed in Texas courts and other first‑party insurance defense. Position located in Dallas, TX. Job duties and responsibilities Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda. Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department. Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions/examinations before trial, examinations under oath, and defend by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable. Basic Qualifications 2‑6+ years of experience in related field litigation in insurance defense and/or personal injury (required). Juris Doctor degree (required). Admission to the Texas Bar (required). Licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas and meet CLE requirements. Must be able to travel as required, including to attend trials, hearings, depositions, meetings, and conferences. Must document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner for clients and coworkers. Must follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, and have strong organizational and multitasking skills. Must learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information. Preferred Qualifications Civil litigation experience. Insurance defense‑related litigation experience. Professional communication in person, telephone, and written correspondence/email.
