Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver effective, patient-centered treatment while ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival, gathering pertinent health information and developing individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions specific to emergency care, modifying plans based on ongoing patient assessments.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and clinical observations accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and facilitate positive outcomes.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, addressing hazards as needed.
• Support professional development by providing constructive feedback and participating in team discussions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Illinois state RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records software.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Experience working in a Level 2 or higher trauma center preferred.
