School Nurse - RN

School NurseThe person in this role will be responsible to create a climate of health and well-being within the school environment. He/she will also function as a child advocate in areas of health and safety. Essential functions include coordinating the health program within the assigned school, supervising and administering health screenings, auditing health records for immunization status, serving as a health resource person, providing emergency health care, maintaining health records, complying with school, district, and state laws, and performing other duties as assigned or required. Knowledge of applicable statutes, policies, and procedures is required, along with a current Arizona RN license, basic CPR certificate, and an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Two years of recent experience in a public nursing, medical, pediatric, or emergency room setting is required. Other requirements include passing a background clearance check, obtaining an Arizona driver's license, and the ability to lift and carry heavy supplies and materials.
