Operations Associate, Cash Equities (New York City Metropolitan Area)

A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as Operations Associate, Cash Equities.

Responsibilities

• Support post-trade activity from transaction entry through final settlement
• Review transaction details and resolve processing, booking, allocation, and settlement discrepancies
• Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash across internal and external records
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party service providers to facilitate accurate and timely transaction processing
• Monitor pending activity and address failed, delayed, or partially completed transactions
• Assist with security-related events that affect open positions or cash activity
• Identify and escalate operational issues that may affect investment activity or reporting
• Maintain accurate records and reporting for transaction activity, exceptions, and outstanding items
• Partner with business and technology teams to strengthen workflows, controls, and data quality
• Support new products, counterparties, and operational initiatives as needed
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve scalability
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, established procedures, and applicable industry requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3–8 years of experience in investment operations, trade support, transaction processing, or a related financial-services function
• Understanding of transaction lifecycles and post-trade processes
• Experience with trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, and exception resolution
• Familiarity with financial-market participants and third-party service providers
