Accountant / Accounting Specialist
Dallas, TX | Contract-to-Hire | 100% Onsite | Immediate Need
We are conducting a confidential search for an Accountant / Accounting Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with an established Dallas-area organization. This is intended to be a long-term opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and mutual fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting including accounts receivable, cash application and account reconciliations
- Monitor customer balances, collections and credit status
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close, account analysis, reporting and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Support audit, tax and financial data requests
- Work with internal teams and customers to resolve accounting issues
- Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience with AR, reconciliations and general accounting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP/SAP experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
