Works with the family at the hospital during the labor birth process and postpartum. Administers care to designated patients and provides support to the care team under the direction of the clinical nurse. Serves as a liaison between clinical, medical staff and underserved patients and/or families. Assures care of patients and families is reflective of IU Healths values./ph3Job Requirements/h3ulliPart-time night shift, 24 hours per week/liliSaturday and Sunday nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am/liliHigh School Diploma/GED is required./liliRequires 0-3 years of relevant experience./liliRequires knowledge and cultural understanding of target communities./liliRequires high level of oral and written fluency in English and target languages./liliMay provide support to Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients, families, and medical staff providing care./liliMay require Medical Interpreter Certification when applicable./liliPreferred Birth Doula Certification from accredited organizations.
