Operations Associate (Alternatives)

Coda Search is partnering with a well-established alternative asset manager seeking an Operations Associate to support investment operations across a diversified portfolio of alternative investments. This is a broad, hands-on role with exposure to investor reporting, fund onboarding, and investment operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background within private markets and enjoy working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across a portfolio of alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets
• Partner closely with transfer agents and 3rd party admins to ensure accurate reporting and a seamless client experience
• Coordinate the onboarding of new funds, investment managers, and service providers
• Prepare and distribute investor and portfolio reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Monitor capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions while maintaining accurate investment records
• Reconcile investment activity and work closely with fund administrators, custodians, and external managers to resolve operational issues
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance operational control
• Support ad hoc projects related to portfolio management, reporting, and systems enhancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in middle office, investment operations, fund operations, or portfolio operations within a family office, asset manager, fund administrator, or alternative investment firm
• Experience supporting alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or real assets
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with investment accounting or portfolio management systems
