Store Manager Trainee

Responsibilities Engage in on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage profitable operations of your assigned store. Maintain a high standard for merchandising, placement, and store signage and use proper display techniques. Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers. Coach and correct associates through training on operations and merchandising. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, enforcing company policies and procedures. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters. Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution. Protect company assets. Maintain a high level of customer service across the store. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Skills and Qualifications Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred. Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; big box experience a plus. Strong productivity management in freight processing. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment. Must be able to lift between 30 to 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
