Full Stack Developer

Job Description

This role is a hands-on Full Stack Web Developer position responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing both modern web applications and WordPress-based websites that support MED Project's business operations. The individual will develop front-end and back-end solutions using technologies such as Next.js, React, Node.js, TypeScript, PHP, and WordPress, while also managing database-driven functionality in PostgreSQL and MySQL. Responsibilities include designing and supporting APIs, integrating third-party and internal systems, troubleshooting application and website issues, optimizing performance and accessibility, and participating in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.

In addition to web development, the role has a strong focus on Azure-based integrations and cloud services, including Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions. The developer will support secure, scalable integrations, monitor application performance, assist with deployments, and help automate business processes. They will also be responsible for website administration activities such as content updates, testing, documentation, quality assurance, security compliance, and system monitoring across development, staging, and production environments.

The position requires close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders, internal business teams, external vendors, and leadership to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to secure coding and accessibility standards, experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance system reliability, development practices, and overall user experience.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree.

• 3–5 years of professional web development experience, or equivalent experience

developing and supporting production web applications.

• Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end development practices.

• Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript-first server-side development, including

building APIs, services, and integrations.

• Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational database management

systems.

• Experience developing, consuming, testing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Azure API Management.

• Experience with Azure Service Bus or similar message queue/event-driven integration

platforms.

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive design, and cross

browser compatibility.

• Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems, including branching strategies,

pull requests, and code reviews, and familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD

automation tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and deployment workflows.

• Ability to troubleshoot web application issues across front-end, back-end, database, and

integration layers.

• Understanding of web security best practices, including access control, secure API design,

data protection, and secure development practices.

• Familiarity with web performance optimization and application monitoring.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with a remote

team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• English language skills — fluent written and verbal communication.

• Comfortable working in a virtual environment and with domestic travel to the degree

appropriate to support the business.

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and project management tools

(Jira/Confluence).

• Exceptional in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with test-driven development or behavior-driven development tools and

practices.

• Familiarity with OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications

• Familiarity with Postman

• Familiarity with HIPAA, CCPA, or other data privacy and protection requirements.

• Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines.

• Experience supporting multiple environments, including development, staging, and

production.

• Experience with website data aggregation, reporting, or data manipulation.
