Position Overview:

The Barback assists bartenders in ensuring the bar operates efficiently and smoothly during service. This role involves stocking, cleaning, and maintaining the bar area, as well as providing support to bartenders to enhance customer satisfaction and speed of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Stocking and Supplies:

• Replenish bar supplies such as ice, garnishes, glassware, and liquor.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Ensure all stock is organized and easily accessible.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Clean and sanitize bar tools, equipment, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Dispose of waste and keep the bar area free from clutter.

Support Bartenders:

• Assist bartenders with preparing drinks, including garnishing and mixing as directed.
• Deliver drinks and food orders to customers as needed.
• Help with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the bar.

Customer Service:

• Provide prompt and friendly service to guests when interacting with them.
• Address any customer inquiries or issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude during busy periods.

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Bar Manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a keen attention to detail.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Effective verbal communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

• Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old.

Work Schedule:

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Availability for shifts during peak hours and busy periods.

• Competitive hourly wage plus tips.

Additional Notes:

• Uniform or dress code requirements will be specified by the restaurant.
• Training will be provided on specific bar procedures and protocols.
