Urology RN Clinic

Job Summary As our Urology Clinic RN, you will provide professional nursing services, focusing on high-quality patient care consistent with our standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise is vital in delivering specialized urological care. Key Responsibilities Delivers professional nursing care to clinic patients; performs diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; independently triages nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; addresses more complex, urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff. Performs a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g. EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness, etc.) in accordance with established protocols. Makes independent wound assessments and performs complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vac; removes sutures or staples after wound assessment by a Provider. Inserts and/or removes tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally‑inserted central catheter (PICC); applies splints/braces. Instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensures that patient or family understands follow‑up and referral information. Informs patients of lab results, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioner’s phone messages. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire. Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire. Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire. Preferred One year RN work experience in a clinic setting OR two years of acute care RN work experience.
