Responsible for processing correspondence request releases which includes gathering information and verifying accuracy to prepare for copying serviceNotifies copying services when records are ready for copyingResponsible for sorting all reports in terminal digit order and inserting into correct inpatient and/or outpatient recordAccurately files completed charts in permanent file using terminal digit orderPulls records as requested from Medical Record Request pull listMove and purges records from the storage areas as needed to make room for new chartsAssist in department telephone calls and walk in requests as back-up Teamwork with other Health Information Technicians to lend assistance as needed Other duties as assigned by Department CoordinatorJob SummaryRequisition Number: RECOR002783Job Category: data migrationSchedule: Full-Time
