Electrical Designer

Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for an Electrical Designer to join a leading Company located in the Pawcatuck, CT surrounding area.

Provide electrical design support for custom industrial machinery by producing production-ready electrical documentation and control panel designs.

Responsibilities :

Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts
Create wiring diagrams and BOMs
Select electrical hardware
Update legacy documentation and updates
Support UL508A/NFPA 79/NEC compliance
Coordinate with Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing

Basic Hiring Criteria :

Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical design experience
AutoCAD Electrical
Machine control system design
PLC I/O, VFDs, servo systems, safety circuits
ETO environment experience

Desired Qualifications :

Allen-Bradley/Rockwell
UL508A and NFPA 79
Plastics extrusion or converting
Industrial automation and machine safety
