Position Summary As part of Walmart Global Tech, you will build scalable, reusable platforms and services that power the growth of our Marketplace. This role advances our 3P ecosystem by enhancing experiences for customers and sellers, enabling consistency across markets, and supporting global expansion. You’ll help deliver differentiated capabilities and unlock new revenue opportunities through technology. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering across teams to solve complex problems, leverage data to inform decisions, and build trusted relationships that drive outcomes at scale. This role is part of the Chief of Staff team within Global Marketplace Tech, which focuses on shaping short‑ and long‑term technology strategy, aligning cross‑functional priorities, and enabling cohesive execution across enterprise programs. About Team Marketplace Engineering powers the technology behind Walmart’s digital commerce experiences for third‑party sellers at massive scale. Our teams build the platforms, services, and infrastructure that support millions of customers and tens of thousands of sellers across Walmart’s ecosystem. The Technology Strategy & Operations function partners closely with engineering leadership to drive strategic planning, operational excellence, and data‑driven decision making across the organization. What You’ll Do Drive tech strategy and operational execution for Marketplace initiatives Translate high‑level priorities into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes, and independently track progress across teams Own resource planning and hiring operations, including headcount tracking, requisition visibility, contractor management, and reporting Lead data‑driven analysis using advanced Excel and spreadsheet tools to generate insights that inform strategic decisions Build executive‑ready materials (decks, white‑papers, etc.) and clearly communicate updates, risks, and recommendations Operate as a cross‑functional connector, aligning engineering, product, recruiting, and business teams to drive execution Identify gaps in current processes and implement practical improvements to increase speed, clarity, and accountability Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, demonstrating strong ownership, follow‑through, and attention to detail What You’ll Bring A min of 5–7+ years in strategy, consulting, or business/tech operations, ideally in eCommerce or similar environments Demonstrated ownership of programs, planning, or operational frameworks, with strong follow‑through and accountability Experience managing or supporting resource planning, hiring programs, or organizational operations Strong analytical horsepower with advanced Excel skills; able to turn data into clear insights and decisions Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail, organization, and execution rigor Proven ability to own and drive ambiguous, cross‑functional initiatives from problem to execution Excellent executive communication skills (decks, narratives, presentations) with senior leadership exposure Ability to influence without authority, build trust, and drive alignment of stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and a focus on driving efficiency and scalability Operates with a customer and seller‑first mindset, with a passion for improving Marketplace experiences and scaling 3P business About Walmart Global Tech Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 3 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
