Our client in Bay City, MI is seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Melt Supervisor to lead foundry melting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing furnace operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, and supporting production efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong foundry experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement while guiding and developing a high-performing team.

- 3rd Shift Melt Supervisor (Foundry)
- Pay: $25.00 – $28.00/hour
- Shift: 3rd Shift | Sunday – Friday | Approx. 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
What your day will look like:
- Lead and supervise melt crew during furnace setup, melting, and pouring operations
- Oversee daily production to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met
- Coordinate melt schedules and communicate updates with leadership and production teams
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and skillsets
- Monitor and maintain proper furnace operation (Electric Arc/Induction)
- Perform and oversee quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe melt deck environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the foundry process
What we are looking for:
- Prior supervisory experience in a foundry or metal melting environment
- Hands-on experience operating Electric Arc and/or Induction furnaces
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools
- Solid understanding of manufacturing safety practices (furnace, cranes, power tools)
- Strong communication skills and dependable attendance
- Ability to work overnight hours consistently
- Basic math skills for measurements and process calculations
