We're looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mueller, an award-winning master-planned urban village in the heart of Austin, Texas.

Built on the site of the former Robert Mueller Municipal Airport, Mueller is a vibrant mixed-use community where parks, trails, local businesses, gathering spaces, and thoughtfully designed neighborhoods come together to create a unique urban living experience. In this role, you'll help ensure the safety, functionality, and long-term reliability of community facilities, amenities, and infrastructure. You'll serve as a technical resource for maintenance operations while supporting team members, contractors, and community partners in maintaining the high standards residents expect.

What You'll Do

Perform Advanced Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform maintenance and repair work across building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues using sound judgment and technical expertise
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities to support community operations
• Ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained

Lead Maintenance Operations

• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to maintenance team members
• Assist with training, work prioritization, and coordination of daily maintenance activities
• Help establish and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and performance
• Serve as a resource for technical problem-solving and operational support

Manage Preventative Maintenance Programs

• Develop, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance programs
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential risks
• Monitor asset performance and recommend improvements that extend equipment life and reduce downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation

Coordinate Vendors & Projects

• Coordinate contractor and vendor activities, including scheduling, materials, and quality control
• Assist with project planning, estimating, and scope development
• Monitor work to ensure compliance with community standards and expectations
• Support facility improvement projects and community asset maintenance initiatives

Support Community Operations

• Participate in emergency response, safety initiatives, and operational support activities
• Collaborate with team members, vendors, and community partners to resolve issues efficiently
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, authentic relationships, meaningful connection, and balance
• Help ensure residents enjoy safe, welcoming, and well-maintained community spaces

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of maintenance experience, including experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• 1-2 years of leadership, lead technician, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or maintenance projects preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Technical degree, trade certification, or specialized training in HVAC, electrical, construction, or a related field preferred
• Experience in large-scale communities, commercial properties, or similar environments preferred
• Familiarity with maintenance management or work order systems preferred

Additional Requirements

• This is an onsite position based within the Mueller community
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and materials as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Occasional evenings, weekends, on-call responsibilities, or emergency response may be required
